START Events
Program Overview
The START Program is Artivion’s dedicated tissue recovery training program, offering both hands-on and virtual education for recovery organizations. It focuses on best-practice recovery for heart for valves, saphenous veins, femoral vessels, aortoiliac arteries, and descending thoracic aortas.
Upcoming Live Stream Events
Artivion’s quarterly live stream events give recovery organizations and industry professionals the opportunity to observe cardiovascular tissue recoveries in real time. participants can ask questions live while subject matter experts demonstrate recovery techniques and review key topics such as rinsing and packaging.

Wet Labs
Wet labs are a core part of the START Program, providing hands-on, on-site training for recovery organizations. Artivion’s donor services training staff deliver in-person instruction and presentations focused on best practices for cardiovascular tissue recovery.
Biannual Medical-Legal Death Investigation Live Streams
These biannual live streams focus on heart valve recovery and bring together recovery organizations, coroners, and medical examiners for live observation and follow-up education. The events are designed to promote collaboration and discussion around important medical-legal considerations.
