The Aortic Valve and Root Boot Camp

Program Overview

The Aortic Valve and Root Boot Camp provides a unique educational opportunity for fellows and senior residents focusing on the surgical anatomy and various procedures of the aortic valve and root. During the two-day program, fellows and residents will rotate through five separate training modules including:

  • Aortic Root Anatomy
  • Aortic Valve Replacement
  • Aortic Valve Repair/Sparing
  • Aortic Root Replacement
  • Ross Procedure

 

Each module is taught by acknowledged surgical experts, who facilitate the unique opportunity for the fellows and residents to learn and practice the various surgical steps required with each of these procedures, employing risk-free biological “simulators”.

Please note:

  • Only one fellow/senior resident will be allowed per institution to allow representation of the majority of the teaching institutions across the US and Canada.
  • All expenses, including airfare, meals, lodging and transportation are supported by Artivion.
  • Courses are limited to surgeons practicing or training in the United States or Canada at the time of the registered course date.
