Program Overview
The AMDS Dissection Academy provides didactic and hands-on training for the treatment of an acute type A aortic dissection, specifically DeBakey Type I (ATAD I), with the AMDS Hybrid Prosthesis. Surgeons will be trained by expert faculty on techniques and best practices for using the AMDS Hybrid Prosthesis, including appropriate patient selection and sizing of the device to allow for successful patient outcomes. This program will include didactic presentations as well as an immersive experience in a mentored wet lab where the implantation of the AMDS Hybrid Prosthesis will be demonstrated in simulation and cadaver models.
